Pirouette

Scroll down to see large picture

Around and around the curves of Pirouette twirl, interpreted in elegant silks and gleaming metals.

Custom painted, 30-count peach gauze is applied to cream congress cloth with coral silk and gold metals. There is no counting of gauze threads. The design includes an ancient form of herringbone stitch, area couching with Japanese metal, traditional and innovative use of bullion, four types of silk, kid applique, and flat silk over padding. Instructions on how to wind and use koma are included with the text.
