The marriage of four types of silk in a soft hue and cream, plus lustrous pearls, results in an exquisite needleart creation. The piece is delicate and fragile, yet at the same time exhibits a dignified elegance. Some techniques covered are: filet fillings, serpentine needleweaving, hardanger, drawn thread, an innovative pulled/shadow work stitch, and the problems and advantages of exposed canvas work. Suggested color choices: light rose, pale blue, light green and cream, with simulated pearls.
